Hello, my name is Gillian Wilman I would like to welcome you to Escape's website.
Following 30 years of experience in catering and hospitality management, I decided it was time to set about using my expertise to create a business for my own. Escape opened its doors to the public in September 2001.
The friendly service, tasty menus and comfortable setting was an instant hit with Kirkham's residents and visitors. In 2007 we extended the cafe and added a patio area to the back of the property which is the perfect sun-trap in the summer months. As well as keeping busy with the cafe, we also provide an outside catering service called "Escape & Out". Over the past several years we and have organised and catered for countless weddings, christenings, funerals and business lunches.
Throughout the year we host regular events in the cafe, which include meals for special occasions such as Valentines, Mother’s Day and New Years Eve and we also put on jazz lunches and Motown evenings which are always popular.
For the past four years Friday night has been our regular "Fish and Chip" evening at Escape. In the summer of 2011 we introduced tapas to our Friday night line-up. We now serve fish and chips from 4pm – 7pm and then tapas takes over from 7pm – 9pm.
